David’s Hand began with one story, but it was never meant to stay that way. A friend reaching out during a mental health crisis became a mission to create safe spaces where men can find support, strength, and hope.
Our leadership directs the organization’s daily mission and programs. Our Board of Directors provides governance, accountability, and responsible stewardship of the organization.

Founder & Executive Director
Freddie Davis is the Founder and Executive Director of David’s Hand. He started the organization after his own experience navigating depression and being saved by the support of a friend. Now, he is committed to making sure no man struggles in silence again.
NONPROFIT GOVERNANCE
David’s Hand is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors committed to accountability, responsible stewardship, and improving access to mental health support for men.
Board Member
Dr. Baker retired in 2024 after a 37-year career in psychiatry, serving in a wide range of clinical and community settings across the Midwest and Colorado. Having witnessed firsthand the challenges men face in seeking care, he is deeply committed to accessible, supportive mental health services and to building healthier futures for men and their families.
